1. Have you done any upgrades?

We have made numerous changes and upgrades to the property:

The most valuable upgrade that we have made is the addition of solar photovoltaic (PV). It was accomplished in stages (paid cash) and is completely grandfathered for net-metering. This means that we accumulate credits for excess power generated throughout the year. Those credits are used in months that we use more electricity than we generate. As a result, our electric bill for the YEAR was $711.76 in 2015. That averaged out to $59.31 per month! Neighbors have said their bill was around $500 per month, so it is a tremendous savings!

2. What things do you like most about this home and living here?

We love our home, the surroundings, and the close knit group of friends and neighbors.

3. What factors influenced your decision to move here?

We were impressed with the quality and amenities of the homes. When we initially looked at houses, we were shown a lot of single wall construction homes, which did not suit us. When we found Ocean Pointe and the planned community, we knew this would be home.

4. How is traffic in and around the neighborhood?

As far as the traffic, it is a fairly quiet street, which was good for the kids. There are several major streets that allow neighborhood ingress/egress.

5. How is your commute to work?

I start work very early, so I don't experience typical traffic.

6. What do you like best about your neighborhood?

The neighbors are great. We have known some of them for many years, have become close and we watch out for one another.

7. What are your favorite nearby restaurants and places to shop?

Many fast food establishments are close by. If we have to do shopping outside the area, we typically go to Kapolei, just a few minutes away. We definitely enjoy having several shopping centers close by. When the new mall opens, it will be great not having to drive downtown!

8. Are there any events in your neighborhood that a new buyer would like to know about?

Definitely check out the Christmas parade in Ewa Beach! We like supporting our local groups. If you like sports, the nearby park is great to coach or watch the kids play ball and hone their talent.
