1. Have you done any upgrades?

We added two solar split ac units, and two more split ac units that are connected to the power grid for those extra hot days.

We created a laundry room by partitioning the dining room from the washer and dryer and added storage closets.

We added a sliding door to close off the dining room and upstairs office from the kitchen and downstairs noise when desired.

We added a wet bar in the dining room with wine chiller.

We added a utility sink on the back lanai.

We replaced closet doors in the master bath and utility closet across from the kitchen.

We added mirrored medicine cabinets in the master bath.

We replaced ceiling fans in one bedroom, the dining room, and the upstairs office with more energy efficient models.

We replaced the refrigerator, range, and microwave with more recent models.

2. What things do you like most about this home and living here?

The house is laid out in an open manner and the master bedroom is enormous. The topography of the lot makes it very private.

There is a covered and screened lanai off the master bedroom we use quite often. Breakfast on the front lanai with its Sunsetter awning is a true pleasure when the trade winds are blowing. As we are on a hillside, we have a beautiful view of Kaneohe.

3. How is traffic in and around the neighborhood?

We're on a cul-de-sac, so traffic is local residents only. People on Nanialii Street often park their cars on the street, so go slow. On Keolu Drive, some people speed so you have to be careful.

4. How is your commute to work?

We both work at home, so we have none! Downtown Honolulu is 30 minutes away during a normal morning commute via the Pali highway.

5. What do you like best about your neighborhood?

Very quiet, close to things in Kailua Town, and just 10 minutes from the beaches.

6. What are your favorite nearby restaurants and places to shop?

Just down the hill in the Keolu Shopping Center there is a good selection of quick eats from greek to chinese to pizza. The Food Company has a quick eats place as well as a fine dining area (we highly recommend the fine dining area!). We also like Cactus in Kailua for South American fare, and Noboru for sushi. We food shop at Safeway and Foodland and these two are very good stores in Kailua. There is a Whole Foods store in Kailua that has excellent fish, meat and a great wine selection. The Target in Kailua is also very useful.

7. Are there any events in your neighborhood that a new buyer would like to know about?

Every Thursday is the Kailua Farmer's Market in the parking lot across from Long's Drugs.

8. Are there any other attractive features about this home or neighborhood that we have not covered?

Lots of interior storage space.
