- Open stair wood slabs being refinished.

- Two-story multiple screens at lanai being replaced.

2. What things do you like most about this home and living here?

What I love most about living here is the open-air layout and views that seem to bring the outdoor island environment inside, as well as the heavenly breezes.

3. What factors influenced your decision to move here?

I chose to move here because the condo was so beautiful and open and the access to beach and parks nearby was fantastic.

4. How is traffic in and around the neighborhood?

Traffic here is just on the outskirts of the heavy traffic that town creates - so it's not bad at all, but can get heavy once you start to travel in the direction of town.

5. How is your commute to work?

I work from home so my commute to work if fantastic!

6. What do you like best about your neighborhood?

I love the diversity and the friendliness of the neighbors, the shops and restaurants along Monserrat and Kapahulu Avenues, but most of all the short walk to the beach, parks, and Waikiki.

7. What are your favorite nearby restaurants and places to shop?

Monserrat Avenue restaurants I love are Bogarts, South Shore Grill and Diamond Head Grill, and across Kapi'olani Park is the Hau Tree Lanai and the W, for a little upscale dining. There is a new little boutique on Monserrat called James After Beach Club that is wonderful!! And of course, Waikiki is within walking distance, and there's no end to restaurants and shops there. A short drive away is Kapahulu and Waialae Avenue which has many restaurants and shops, and Kahala Mall is just on the other side of Diamond Head.

8. Are there any events in your neighborhood that a new buyer would like to know about?

Kapi'olani Park, with it's bandstand, ball fields, tennis courts and the Waikiki Shell, holds many festivals and concerts and games all year. Just on the skirts of the park is the Honolulu Zoo, and Waikiki Aquarium and Waikiki Beach, all which are open year round for visitors and also have many events. My favorite is movies on the beach at Waikiki by Kapahulu Avenue. Also Kapi'olani Community Collge is a walk up Monserrat Avenue, which has the best farmer's market every saturday called KCC Farmer's Market.
