2. What things do you like most about this home and living here?

Home: Everything. New recessed lighting throughout the kitchen, living and dining rooms, bathrooms. The marbled and travertine floor to ceiling bathroom stone in all the bathrooms. The yard. When you are in the yard it's like a private tropical island with 3 Plumeria trees and Papaya trees. Photovoltaic and additional new solar panel allows us to run the AC and hot water while keeping the electric bill at zero for most of the year with only an occasional bill for only 26.00. Plenty of parking, the driveway can hold another 2 cars in addition to the 2 cars parked in the garage.

Nearby walking path to Kailua Beach and is dog friendly. You can walk your dog on the beach where you can mix and meet with other neighbors doing the same and watch other human and dog surfers doing their thing.

3. What factors influenced your decision to move here?

The beauty of the enclosed yard, great for letting your dog out to get some fresh air and do their thing, playing around and chasing the birds for their fun time. The commute time to work is relatively short compared to other areas. Shopping is nearby.

4. How is traffic in and around the neighborhood?

We haven't experienced any traffic in and around the neighborhood.

5. What do you like best about your neighborhood?

Extremely safe and friendly neighbors. Everyone says hello to you when you walk by each other whether they know you or not. There is an obvious pride of ownership for all those that live here around us and it is pet friendly. Top notch excellent health care at the nearby Castle Hospital that is just a 10 min drive from here. Plenty of shopping nearby. Close to everything it only takes me 20 minutes to reach Costco, Home Depot, Lowes, Best Buy, Sams, Walmart or that occasional trip to Ala Moana shopping center or Waikiki beach.

6. What are your favorite nearby restaurants and places to shop?

Directly across the street, ie a 2 minute walk are several restaurants, Daichi Ramen (Japanese), the newly opened Starbucks, Willow Tree (Korean), Boston Pizza, Tamura’s Famous Poke to go and fine wines, Burger King, and on the same side of our street and a 1 min walk toward the beach access path is the Famous Nico’s Seafood restaurant (just after the 2 buildings to your left.

In and around Kailua town are many more fine restaurants, burgers, diners, bars and various stores to shop in. We also have easy access to Whole Foods, Longs Drugs, Foodland, another Safeway and Times supermarkets.

7. Are there any events in your neighborhood that a new buyer would like to know about?

The church across the street has yoga classes and on Thursday nights there is a Farmers Market in Kailua town just behind Longs Drugs next to Whole Foods that has not only locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables, but also live entertainment and prepared foods from local restaurants and businesses. They also have fireworks at Kailua Beach every 4th of July & New Year’s. Also, there’s the Kailua 4th of July parade along strategic neighborhood routes & streets. These local events are very much anticipated here in Kailua.

8. Are there any other attractive features about this home or neighborhood that we have not covered?

There is the state beach park that you can go by car or bike but within a 5 minute walk, you can have access to the local beach where people surf & swim and just relax with their families. Awesome place to walk to the beach to watch sunrise and to live! You can also go to the Pill Box trail for a good hike.
