1. Have you done any upgrades??
On the main house, there is a 74 Panel photovoltaic Electric producing Solar System installed in 2013. Each panel has its own microinverter. There is a 10 year warranty on labor and a 25-year warranty on parts.It produces Electric for both the Main house and the Duplex. Prior to the installation of the Solar Panels the Electric bill for both houses ranged from $800 to $900 a month. After the installation the Electric bill has ranged from $17 to $300, depending on the time of year (how long the days are) and how much rain/clouds there are.
On the main house and the Duplex, there is a new high quality Solar Reflective roofs were installed in 2015. There is a 50 year material warranty and a 7 year warranty on the labor.
There is also a 12 camera Security System installed around the Upper House. The Samsung Camera Security System records any movement day or night, including anyone driving up the driveway and stores it for up to 3 months. You can also view all the cameras anywhere in the world that there is an Internet Connection.
Also, the Kitchen and all three Bathrooms in the Main House have been upgraded. Two bedrooms downstairs have new Porcelain Tile floors.
The Living Room and Master Bath have new travertine floors. The other upstairs bath has a marble floor and the downstairs bathroom has a porcelain tile floor.
Both upstairs bathrooms have new granite counter tops. The Master bedroom shower is oversize (4' X 5') and it has a double sink.
2. What things do you like most about this home and living here?
You can see twenty or more waterfalls and rainbows from the living room master bedroom or either deck when it rains in the Koolaus.
The main house has complete privacy; no neighbors can see into the back yard, patio, or pool area.
3. How is traffic in and around the neighborhood?
Traffic from Kaneohe to downtown Honolulu is much lighter then Traffic from the West Side of Oahu. If I leave at 6:30 AM I can get to downtown Honolulu by 7. However there is a plan in the works to widen Kahikili Hwy from 2 lanes to 4 lanes from the Haiku intersection to where it meets Kam Highway. If there is an accident on Kahikili Highway you can reach Kaneohe town by traveling along Kam Highway.
4. What do you like best about your neighborhood?
The closest Beach/small boat harbor for fishing and kayaking is a mile away. There are many other beaches for diving and surfing within 10 to 15 minutes. There are tennis courts, county gym and park, walking/jogging paths, football fields, baseball fields within 5 minutes.
5. What are your favorite nearby restaurants and places to shop?
There is a Supermarket, Restaurants and Theaters less than 3 minutes (.5 miles) away. In addition Windward Mall, more restaurants/bars, more theaters, drug stores, etc are only 5 miles away. There is a 7/11 and gas station within walking distance.
